Community Service

It is always nice taking a holiday to support the environment and give back to your community. This Labor Day I went for my first day of community service this morning. I have set a personal goal of 50 hours of service.

There was a beautiful orange sunrise; the sun itself was like a deep red disc, hovering above the horizon.

I am doing my service at the local landfill. There I mostly pick up stray bits of trash by the wayside.

The place was swarming with the local black vultures, who fought over scraps of meat from out the bags of trash.

Small pockets of green shrubbery along the roadside held these little red flowers. I couldn’t help but take a few shots.

I started kasanje.home.blog in 2019 as a travel blog, in 2020, I pivoted the content to game guides and "get paid to" platforms and changed the name to fatwalletrefugee.com. In 2026, I migrated all travel and personal content to Kasanje Travels (https://kasanje.com). From 2013 to 2021, I ran a crypto mining business. Several other obscure ventures followed, including an LLC that managed influencer talent. Currently, I am a reseller. I’ve sold goods on Amazon, eBay, Poshmark, Vinted, and other marketplace sites, but I find eBay is my favorite. You can find my store on eBay @fatwalletrefugee.
