Barcelona was the furthest part I reached during a European trip I embarked on with my father back in 2007.
I got homesick and cold feet, feeling a bit overwhelmed with all busy bustling city of Barcelona and the hostel we were staying at. I also couldn’t understand any of the language, which wasn’t helping the matter any. After some discussion it was decided we would head back up into France and going in a different direction with the trip.
My father did finish the trip, even going on to Lisbon, Portugal, and crossing the Atlantic on a sailboat. I never did make it to Portugal, but my mother had a wonderful visit in 2024.
Most of the posts are being written from memory and the photos I was able to recover from the photo storage platform, Photobucket. During the trip I only kept a written journal and my camera.
