After mama ordered a Habu (rice lager) at Blackbird Brewery, we watched the fireworks display. At the end of the show we rushed over to the ice parlor for some cool refreshments.
Located on the opposite end of the same building as Wayback Burgers, Jeremiahs Italian Ice serves up some sweet confections.

Mama and I both ordered the Strawberry Shortcake. It came in a cup with a spoon. There was cake batter crumble around the cup edge.
The bottom was Italian Ice covered with a layer of creamy gelato. This was topped off with a dollop of Italian Ice, more cream, and some crumbs.
We got in just after the fireworks display had ended. There was only one family ahead of us in the line.
We signed up for their loyalty program at the register and opted for a digital receipt. I prefer paper receipts, but I don’t recall the option being available.
After we got back to the car, we realized we needed some lids because it was too much sweet stuff to eat all at once.
I returned to the shop to get a lid and it was slammed full of people. The parking lot was grid lock, with cars jumbled around, all vying to escape.
I stood as near to the register as I could manage and tried to get someones attention. All the staff and the manager were buzzing about rushing back and forth from the register to the ice cream machines. It’s a wonder no one crashed into each other.

Eventually, I had to simply ask loudly for a lid. One of the workers heard me and turned around, I only got one lid, though I was thankful I managed even that given how busy the staff were. I think we will definitely return on another day to get some more ice cream.
Back at the car, Mama and me enjoyed our icy treats and then waited for the traffic to settle down. The fireworks ended at 10 pm and we left the parking lot at 10:40 pm. We got home sometime we got home around 11:30 pm.
